The French-Cambodian actress explains why the femme fatale is more than just a sociopath.
Something unexpected happened on Netflix last year. Daredevil, the gritty Marvel entry about a blind hero in Hell’s Kitchen, became, at least according to one report, the most watched original series on the streaming service. Thanks to overwhelmingly positive word of mouth and strong performances, the gritty show gained traction outside the usual cape-loving crowd. With Dwayne Johnson already in talks to “bring it” as Roadblock, the Never Say Never director Jon Chu is ready to up G.I. Joe 2‘s sex appeal ante by adding French actress Elodie Yung.

For Chu’s Hasbro action-adventure flick, she’s wanted to play Jinx, a young California woman who finds out she has family ties to a ninja clan during a fateful trip to Japan and becomes a full-fledged Joe. She’s recruited to the military team by fellow ninja master Snake Eyes. Continue reading Elodie Yung in talks to join “G.I. Joe 2”
